"Transitory Shoveling, Search for Better Days"

Based on a recent portrait from a model, this acrylic/mixed-media painting found its way toward a meaningful statement, a vintage return to bygone days. Somehow those bygone trials seem to rear their ugly heads again. "Getting by" becomes a laborer's way of life, in the hope of finding a better future. Using acrylics and collage elements,  digitally researched, cropped, painted, resized, composed, I try to recapture some bitter feelings of a perpetually demoralizing scenario.
