Lackluster model, but decent results

The figure sketch to the right was drawn last week in the drop-in life drawing class. Working with a black crayon here, my goal was to establish the proportions of the upper part of the body in a pleasing manner on the page, so that he figure was more sculptural. The light areas, placed after the sketch was completed, assist in giving the drawing presence in the picture space. Those light areas are done with liquid acrylics.
