Figures Galore, working on a "good day"

Sketches from today's life drawing class. You can see that in the second image the model made the pose more original by posing upright with an easel. Besides the pose having more interest, the negative areas were more diverse adding to the pleasing quality of the sketch.

This is a more standard pose. I was working with a grease pencil here, shading to create tonal areas.

This back view created a variety of spaces because of the position of the legs as the model was perched on her knees

I enjoyed the sculptural essence of this drawing. The dark negative spaces made it seem carved out of a block of stone. Liquid acrylics were addes to the drawing to accent the form.
