Today's model in our drop in life-drawing session is a person we often draw from. His poses are varied, and you can see him deciding, in his mind's eye, how his arms and legs will cross or intersectin the poses.

Although I haven't attended class for several weeks because I was out of commission having bronchitis instead, I felt like I was on my game today! Puts a smile on my face...

Here the model holds a standing pose. These drawings are all either 15 minute or 30 minute poses. They are drawn with black or brown wax crayons, or with black and white grease pencils. To create more dimension, I have used liquid acrylics behind the figures, which are drawn on toned papers.

  • Our
model in the drop in figure class today always strikes a pleasing pose to draw
from. You can see him working it out in his mind's eye, as  to whih limbs
sould overlap where and how. I worked this with a brown wax crayon enhanced by
    liqid acrylics behind the figure.
