New Girl on the Block

This model, a face new to our Independent Painters portrait group, is such a lovely individual to draw and paint from.  I especially enjoyed developing skin tones with which to record her coffee colored skin. Although I had worked on an acrylic portrait of her during our session in the studio, I was more motivated to work on this closeup of her face and upper body through this week in my studio. She'll be back later in the season for us to work from again. In the meantime, I may try this one again from my photos.
