Above is a fifteen minute pose by today's model. My goal is to create a sculptural form by developing the space behind the figure, allowing the figure to exist as a simple line drawing. To the upper right is another sketch from today's life-drawing session of the seated model. To the right is a standing pose. I felt like I had a successful morning. By the end of the morning, the model chose a reclining pose, probably to be able to catch a nap for an hour, the length of this pose. I've added that drawing below.
