I've posted these imagess of blossoms from our garden as an expression of the fragility of youth taken from this earth too soon. 22 year old Alex Burgett, cousin of Michael Edick my son in law, was struck down in a head-on car accident in recent days, that took her life. These past few days have been wrapped in activities of her family and friends, dealing with this tragic loss. I just want to honor the beauty of her spirit, a young woman who chose to help others in her life and was preparing to follow that path, following her anticipated graduation from Western Michigan University in this semester's cap and gown ceremonies. I have to believe she was taken "in her goodness", for a higher heavenly pupose, something that we remaining on earth, myself included, can't quite fathom. Beautiful and meaningful memories of her will live on in the hearts of those who cherished and loved her. Her parents and two sisters survive her . Live the challenges of every day to the fullest, and find the good under every pebble and in every hill that you climb. Breathe in deeply all the wonders that life has to offer us, and live out all the worthwhile possibilities of the gift of life.
